Bad experience
We're loacted in the Klein Waterberg area and we have a Fritz box 7270 and pay per month. At the begining the internet speed was fantastic but now I can't even test my network speed. Other residents in the area are also complaining about no internet connection. I've bought a new modem and there is still no internet connection and it's getting worse each day! Why do we need to pay for something that we don't even have? When will someone fix the this problem? I work from the internet everyday. This can't continue.

My telephone number is ********. I have a 4meg adsl line, or is suppose to, which is what I pay for every month. N$1200.00. For the past few months I barely get half the use of this line. Sometimes the download goes so slow, it stopped, the download failed. Very often I just switch off my computer as it is no use trying to download something. I reported numerous faults, the technicians came to my house, check everything, gave me a new modem, test the lines, but the problem remains. Today (11.11.2015) is the 2nd day in a row downloads failed because of this pathetic service. Mr Diergaardt, a technical manager, called me to find out if the problem is solved. He also gave me his contact number to call again, should I have more problems. The number does not exist. Then I wrote a mail 3 weeks ago, sending him a screenshot of my download speed. Until today, I had no response from him. But dare skip a single payment and your line gets cut quickly. I signed a 3 year contract for this line for which they expect me to keep, but Telecom doesn't give a damn about keeping their end of the contract, as long as they can pocket my money they are happy, screw the client, we have the monopoly. when they do call to find out if the problem is solved and you say no it isn't, that is where it ends. Resetting my port in the exchange doesn't help, re-installing the software also is of no use. Nobody simply bothers to really trying to find out what the problem is. It really is a pity there is no other telecommunications company like Telecom in Namibia to give them competition because I would have cancel my business with Telecom immediately should they be able to provide better guaranteed service as Telecom promised me. All I get is the total opposite experience.

Questions & Answers

My Wi-Fi service is disconnected due to late payment. I made the payment now via internet, but since it is weekend, the service is not reconnected. Is there an after-hours service contact number which can be called to reconnect the service right away, instead of waiting now even up to next week Wednesday or Thursday for it to be reconnected?
